My Story

Hi there, my name is Francesca Mendez.
I’m a public health practitioner turned technology professional, working at the intersection of public health, value-based care, and product management. My mission is to improve the healthcare landscape through innovation — and to do so in a way that is equitable, inclusive, and centered on real human needs.

A bit about where I come from:
I was born and raised in New York City to two immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic. Growing up in public housing, I experienced firsthand how social and structural factors shape health outcomes. Those early experiences — navigating complex systems as a first-generation daughter — inspired me to dedicate my career to reimagining how health and opportunity intersect.

A bit about why I’m here:
I help organizations make their business cases for population health — leveraging my entrepreneurial mindset and product management expertise to bridge the worlds of public health and business. I believe there is both a moral and economic imperative for health equity, and my work focuses on helping teams unlock that potential through data, design, and strategy.
